This book is dedicated to the core zone of the Southern Carpathians near Brasov and describes both multi-day and day trips. In the middle is an old classic: the red ribbon connects the mountains of the Carpathians in a horizontal line.

Near Brasov you can hike on one of the day trips in the Buseni and Piatra Mare mountains and in the medium-sized mountains Ciucas and Iezer-Papusa beautiful weekend boat trips are possible. Each walk gives you directions, maps, elevation profiles and GPS tracks, as well as information about accommodation and campsites.
